6th Gosport are committed to educate and develop the young people of Gosport, building a better community with a brighter future. Where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role within society. We hope to achieve this through fun, challenge, and adventure.
Young people first: safeguarding and safety in Scouting
Wherever we go and whatever we do, we put young people’s safety and wellbeing first.
Continuing with our festive cheer, a massive well done to Scout Seth. Seth took it on himself to collect toys and books for young people in hospital at the Paediatric Ward at the Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust QA Hospital.
He collected over 45 presents and 25 books.

The very lucky Cubs were completely spoilt by the lovely Clare and the team at Utilita this afternoon.
Not only were they treated to a Christmas Decoration making competition (with incredible prizes!) they enjoyed party games, and a party tea!

As we were walking around Tudor Lodge yesterday, one of the Cubs said to me.
‘The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear’
I think that they showed yesterday the Buddy the elf had a point!
Baden-Powell is known to have said, ‘The most worthwhile thing is to try and put happiness in the lives of others’
If these incredible young people take nothing else away from this festive season, hopefully they can see how special they have made it for the residents

The children were all impeccably behaved and they definitely put smiles on many faces and should be proud of themselves. Tudor Lodge would like to thank you all for your time this year and we hope it has been a learning curve as well as well as being fun for the children. Merry Christmas to you all 🎅

Normally we create an end of year video to share all of our achievements, success and most of all fun throughout the year.
This year there is absolutely no point in sharing anything except Matt’s incredible video for the AGM again, as it captures everything we are.
As we are nearly at the end of another busy term, we must once again pay tribute to our incredible volunteers. None of what we do is possible without them.
We wish all of our members, families, friends and alumni a fantastic festive period, and a very Merry Christmas if celebrated.
We hope that 2025 brings peace, joy and more Scout adventures.

First time I have seen this video and it captures the 6th Gosport Rowner Air Scout Group. exactly. My grandchildren, Luke and Zoe, went through the 6th from Beavers to Explorers and in so many ways are who they are today because of you all. I know neither of them are with you now, but one is a leader in another Scout Group and the other joins the Navy in January. Thank you Team 6th. B.R.A.V.O.
