Celebrating the Coronation of HM King Charles III

In May 2023, we’ll be celebrating the Coronation of The King

The Coronation of HM The King will be an incredibly special moment for people across the UK and Commonwealth, and a time of great celebration and unity.

It’ll also be an opportunity for us to reflect on ‘service’ and giving to others, which is important to The King and central to our Scout values.

Equity, diversity and inclusion

Making Scouts more inclusive and open to all

At Scouts, we’re open to all. Our main priority is to make sure that everyone, be that our young people or our volunteers, feel welcome and comfortable to take part

Redesigning our 14-24 year old provision

Over the next five years, we’ll be exploring what Scouting should achieve for future generations.

We know that our provision for 14-24 year olds could be better.

We want young people to get the best possible chance in life. To be prepared for jobs. For further study. For life.

To see how things are changing head over to the Scouts website via the links below.

International

There is lots of guidnace to get your scouting to go international.

Going abroad with Scouting is often a lot easier than people think.

There is a very clear rule and process to follow and lots of people with international Scouting experience to guide you on your journey.

Keeping safe

Staying safe and what to do if things dont go as planned.

It is important to know what to do in an emergency and for all involved in an activity to be on the same page with what is going to happen. It is also important to have clear processes for reporting incidents, both locally, nationally, and where appropriate to other agencies.

It’s also vitally important we all stay up-to-date with the latest updates to POR.

Financial Support

Find out what support is available to help

The increases in cost of living will have a direct impact on Scouts. We want Scouts to continue to grow and deliver skills for life for more young people, even during this uncertain time. This is when our young people and the people they live with need us most.

We’re sharing how the cost of living increases may impact Scouts in different ways to help you plan and assess your local area’s situation. We’ll also provide guidance to support you in managing any cost impacts.
