The best Air Scout group in Gosport
6th Gosport are committed to educate and develop the young people of Gosport, building a better community with a brighter future. Where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role within society. We hope to achieve this through fun, challenge, and adventure.

You may remember before Christmas Scout Ernest was awarded a Bear Grylls, Never Give Up Award at his annual awards. Last night along with his sister and friend he was invited to attend Bear’s Never Give Up tour.
Felicia was lucky enough to be invited on to the stage to ask Bear a question about being brave
Bear spoke about not being afraid to follow dreams, and challenging dream stealers, about being resilient and allowing ourselves to be challenged!
We think Felicia was super brave talking in front of 2000 people!
It was also super cool to see our Squirrels as part of his promotion video for Scouts ... See MoreSee Less

Alex loved it, thank you for inviting him x
What can we say?!
Another simply fantastic turn out at St George’s Day Parade. A massive thank you to all of our young people and adults for giving up their Sunday morning.
St George’s Day Parade is an opportunity for our young people to come together as a group, to celebrate another fantastic year.
We celebrate all of our young people, and congratulate Woodland Beavers for retaining the David Cope trophy, Typhoon Cubs for retaining the George and Doris Long trophy jointly with 5th Gosport, and the Scouts for coming 2nd in the Wilson Greenaway trophy.
Another immense year!
Our young people are incredible, but none of this is possible without our phenomenal adult volunteers, who continue to go above and beyond, week in, week out.
#team6th is the crucial part of what we do and everything we do is for our young people!
A special shout out to Young Leaders Maggie for being awarded her young leader belt and her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and Coby for achieving his Duke of Edinburgh Silver! Both home grown at the 6th!
Another huge shout out to Fareham Scout Band members Freddie, Jack, Thomas, Cheryl-Louise and Oscar for taking part in two parades today!
#team6th, we are so very proud of you! ... See MoreSee Less

We’re certainly making use of the Alver Valley this week! Beavers had a lovely walk doing their ABC hike. The aim of it is to spot or find things they have seen starting with every letter of the alphabet. The Beavers saw some very interesting things ... See MoreSee Less

🤩🤩🤩 exciting
One day more…..
Tomorrow we open our second Scout Troop, Endeavour.
It’s the day that completes our jigsaw, coming a year to the day we opened the second Cub Pack, the Typhoons, and within 18 months of opening a second Squirrel Drey, and second Beaver Colony.
We also can’t forget our partnered E.S.U Gosport District Air Explorers
2 of each section, plus the explorers is beyond what we ever thought possible, but it brings us over 250 incredible young people who share what #team6th is.
Some of our followers will remember the old times, a HQ that wasn’t fit for purpose and numbers that weren’t reflective of the exciting programme we were beginning to provide. Fast forward 15 years, and here we are.
We raised nearly £100k to build a new HQ, bag packing, clothes recycling amongst other things, most of our young people weren’t with us through that but their legacy lives on through their hard work.
As we look to tomorrow, we pay tribute not only to the most incredible volunteers at the group, the team we have now is something very very special, the hours behind the scenes, the late nights, the training, the stressful times - all in the name of giving our young people the best version of ourselves, so they can be the best version of themselves, but we also pay tribute to those no longer with us, those that were here for the foundations and those that took those early risks.
There’s no secret to what we do, it’s teamwork and hardwork.
Welcome Endeavour. Enjoy your day!
